But I'm not a Transformer expert (unlike Sabrejack, who as I recall as a child was very savvy on the subject, even though he lost his Starscream jet on top of the elementary school, still a sad memory) ...The only other movie Michael Bay made that I ever liked was "The Island" but mainly because of Ewan MacGregor, who is too cute for his own good! But yes, the robot designs could have been a little better. They made them too complicated looking for my tastes. Especially Megatron. But a Camaro as Bumblebee was inspired. By the way, we have boxes of old 80s Transformer toys in the garage still! Mom I saw Transformers and thought it was very entertaining. "Fondue Pot?! Optimus Prime is a bitchin' semi truck." And I'm pretty sure that all the marketing groups are pushing the toys. The movie will just be a bunch of cool-looking robots without really much of a plot to go on, but kids will love it. And kids buy the toys.
